A Gouverneur woman is charged with several misdemeanors after state police said she made fraudulent Redbox movie rental returns.
Kari M. Horne, 29, was charged Monday with third-degree criminal tampering and two counts of petit larceny, troopers said.
Police said on May 4, she “substituted a fraudulent DVD for a Redbox movie” and returned it to a Redbox kiosk in Evans Mills.
Police allege that on numerous other occasions, she rented and failed to return or returned other fraudulent discs to multiple Redbox kiosks.
She was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the town courts in LeRay and Watertown, troopers said.
