GOUVERNEUR -- Heather L. Newcombe, 29, Gouverneur, was charged with felony driving while intoxicated, first-degree felony aggravated unlicensed operation, and second-degree criminal impersonation Sunday after a traffic stop by state police.

Troopers said they stopped her 2004 Dodge Ram pick-up truck along Johnstown Street at about 2 a.m. They said she first gave troopers a false name and date of birth. She was subsequently arrested for DWI.

Newcombe later admitted to giving a false identity because her license was revoked due to a previous DWI, troopers reported.

Her blood alcohol content was determined to be .13 percent.

Newcombe was arraigned at the Town of Gouverneur Court and was remanded to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or $2,000 bond.

She is to return to Town of Gouverneur Court on Nov. 11.
