GOUVERNEUR – A Gouverneur woman was charged with 44 counts of aggravated harassment for allegedly harassing a victim through phone calls from Feb. 4 through March 22, according to Gouverneur police.
Brooke L. Bressette, 27, was charged Wednesday, June 15, at 10:35 a.m. at the Gouverneur Police Department with 44 counts of second-degree aggravated harassment following a police investigation.
She is alleged to have used her cellphone to call the landline phone of the victim on 44 different occasions allegedly hanging up when the victim answered, remaining on the line say nothing when answered, disguising her voice or leave threatening messages.
Bressette did so with no legitimate reason other than as a justification to engage, frighten and intimidate the victim, police said.
The subject was issued appearance tickets returnable to Gouverneur Town Court.
