GOUVERNEUR -- A trailer being use for storage was destroyed in a fire caused by candles Tuesday morning, according Gouverneur volunteer firefighters.
The trailer located at 8 Douglas Road was owned by Bernard Brasie. Firefighters responded to the call at 6:58 a.m. and returned at 8:39 a.m.
The trailer was destroyed, but did not have any occupants as it was being used for storage.
Firefighters said they did not know if the property was insured.
Investigators said the fire was caused by candles.
No injuries were reported.
