Gouverneur team competes in Clarkson Horizons program

POTSDAM -- A team from Gouverneur recently presented their Rube Goldberg machine to an audience of family members, mentors, and peers at Clarkson Horizons.

Clarkson Horizons is a residential, one-week program that connects talented junior high girls to the excitement of STEM through hands-on, experimental activities, and team projects.

A Rube Goldberg machine is a device, using chain reactions, which is intentionally over engineered to perform a simple task in a complicated way. Among the team members was Gillian Seale, who received a campership from the SLC AAUW ‘Open Windows for Girls Program.’ The program provides camperships for SLC girls to attend enrichment programs.
