Northern New York’s St. Lawrence River Valley and 1000 Islands regions will be featured Monday, Jan. 19, on an episode of The Story Trek, an unscripted TV show airing nationwide on cable and satellite systems.
The Story Trek, which won four Emmy Awards in 2013, follows journalist Todd Hansen around the country as he knocks on randomly selected strangers’ doors to hear their life stories. The show’s tagline is, “Everyone has something important to say.”
This visit included an interview with artist Paula Towne in Gouverneur.
Hansen and a film crew visited Gouverneur, Alexandria Bay, and Wellesley Island in October. The St. Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce and the 1000 Islands International Tourism Council showed the crew around scenic North Country sites and provided a local perspective on the region.
This episode airs at 8 and 11 p.m. Jan. 19, on BYUTV, channel 465 on Time Warner Cable, 374 on Direct TV and 9403 on Dish Network.
