GOUVERNEUR – The Gouverneur Police Department is asking those who have recently had items stolen from their vehicles in the village of Gouverneur to call the station.
Gouverneur police and the St. Lawrence County Drug Task Force recently located a variety of electronic devices including laptops, cellular phones and GPS units that were stolen from vehicles over the past several weeks.
Police said the items were located after executing a search warrant at 65 Clinton St. and conducting a consensual search of 108 Park St.
Police have identified owners for most of the devices and returned the majority of the property, but some of the items remain unclaimed.
Police are asking anyone who may have had items stolen to contact the department at 287-2121.
