GOUVERNEUR — A vendor who sold a China cabinet at the Aug. 27 Antiques in the Park event inadvertently left her purse inside of it and is seeking help locating it, according to Gouverneur police.
Police said the woman sold the cabinet to an unknown older couple, believed to be around 70 years old. The transaction took place on East Main Street.
The couple is believed to have been driving a black older model full size extended cab pickup truck, officers said.
Police said the couple is likely unaware the purse was inside the cabinet and that the purse contains personal items which would identify the owner.
Anyone who believes they have information about this incident is asked to call police at 287-2121.
