GOUVERNEUR — Gouverneur police are asking the public for help in solving several burglaries committed this past week downtown.
Police say on Monday, Nov. 14, that Cives Steel Corp., 40 Factory St. and Nina’s Hotel Bar, 34 Depot St., were burglarized during the overnight hours.
Vending and game machines were damaged at both locations to access the money dispensary and money was taken, officers said.
The American Legion, 163 East Main St. was burglarized on Wednesday, Nov. 16, police said. An alarm activation went off at 4:55 a.m. A game machine was broken into where a large sum of $1 was stolen.
If anyone has information that can lead to the identity of the person(s) involved, they are asked to contact Gouverneur police at 287-2121 or 287-2128.
