GOUVERNEUR – Gouverneur’s mayor is praising Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo’s pledge to help restore the North Country’s economy.
“For far too long, the economies of rural areas of the state were stagnant – but Gov. Cuomo has changed that, and today he has taken his plan a step further with a broad agenda that will tackle many of the issues facing the Village of Gouverneur,” Gouverneur Mayor Ron McDougall said.
“Through the expansion of broadband, an economic revitalization competition, and support for our community colleges, Gov. Cuomo continues to provide more opportunities for the North Country, and for that I am very grateful.”
