CLARE — A Gouverneur man was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation Wednesday following a personal-injury accident on County Route 27, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies.

Robert C. Johnson, 31, was charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and speed no reasonable or prudent.

Johnson allegedly struck a UPS vehicle in the rear while the vehicle was parked on the side of the road, officers said.

Russell Fire and Rescue responded to the scene and transported Johnson to Canton-Potsdam Hospital for medical evaluation.

He was cited and released on tickets returnable to Clare court.
