GOUVERNEUR -- Gouverneur Hospital will celebrate the opening of its emergency room renovation with an open house Thursday, Dec. 14, from 4:30 to 6 p.m.
There will be light refreshments and a formal program at 5 p.m. followed by the opportunity to tour the unit and meet the ER staff. The event is free and open to the public.
The $2.3 million renovation includes an updated facility with seven patient rooms, each equipped with a cardiac monitor and designed for patient privacy and comfort along with a triage room. A centralized nurses’ station will provide the doctors and nurses area to conduct their work.
“We look forward to the community joining us in celebrating the opening of our new Emergency Department” stated Jay Moore, ED Nurse Manager.
