Gouverneur High School to recognize 19 honors grads

GOUVERNEUR -- Gouverneur High School will recognize 19 honors graduates who finished with a 3.5-year average of 90 or better at its June 26 graduation.

Autumn Ashley is the daughter of Scott and Elizabeth Ashley. She will attend SUNY Canton in the fall to earn a bachelor’s degree in the civil and environmental engineering program.

Megan Barr is the daughter of Alan and Amy (Infield) Barr. She will enter the doctor of pharmacy program at Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in the fall.

Emily Bush is the daughter of Mike and Tricia Bush. She will attend SUNY Jefferson for two years and wants to transfer to complete a doctor of physical therapy degree. She hopes to work with athletes in the future.

Rowena Casciaro is the daughter of Brandy Casciaro. She will attend SUNY Jefferson in the fall to study liberal arts and hopes to transfer to continue studies in history.

Tyler Daniels is the son of Julie Daniels and Dan Alguire. He will be attend SUNY Potsdam this fall for the 3 + 2 engineering program.

Brittany Drake is the daughter of Brian and Kimberly Drake. She will attend SUNY Canton to pursue an associate’s degree in the physical therapist assistant program.

Emily Farrell is the daughter of Mark and Laura Farrell. She plans to attend SUNY Potsdam to major in elementary education. She hopes to continue to pursue her love of music and travel.

Troy Gates is the son of Richard and Lori Gates. He will attend Syracuse University’s Whitman School of Management, pursuing a degree in finance.

Joshua Harris: Joshua is the son of Daryl and Shawna Harris. He will attend SUNY Potsdam majoring in computer science with plans of a career in computer programming.

Alec House-Baillargeon is the son of Tonya House-Baillargeon and Parrish Baillargeon. Alec will be attending the Crane School of Music for a degree in music education.

Lauren Infield is the daughter of Bill and Jennifer Infield. She will be attend North Country Community College in the fall for health sciences. When completed, she wants to apply to the radiology technician program.

Spencer Knowles is the son of Wayne Knowles and Jamie Breen. He will be attend Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute to pursue a degree in nuclear engineering.

Emily Matott is the daughter of Richard and Debra Matott. She wants to attend college to earn a degree in political science and afterward, go to law school.

Courtney Platt is the daughter of Thomas and Stacie Platt. She will attend SUNY Potsdam in the fall to pursue a business-related degree.

Carinda Sawyer is the daughter of Stephanie Sawyer and Dickie and Danielle Sawyer. She will be attend the University at Buffalo in the fall to pursue a degree in psychology.

Kaila Smith is the daughter of Timothy and Rachael Trundle. She wants to pursue studies in business management through an online degree program.

Jake Sweeney is the son of Tim and Jeanne Sweeney. He will attend SUNY Canton to pursue a degree in the electrical engineering program.

Alisha Way is the daughter of Jo Cutrie and Edmond Way. She will be attend Clarkson University in the fall. She was one of 55 students statewide chosen under the HEOP Program.

Sarah Yablonski is the daughter of Lori Rich and Mark Yablonski. In the fall, she plans to attend St. Lawrence University, majoring in neuroscience.
