GOUVERNEUR -- The Gouverneur Head Start program is taking registrations for the 2016-17 school year.
Head Start is a federally funded school readiness program for children ages 3 and 4.
Programs are either home- or center-based.
It offers four hours in the program per day, school readiness skills, home-cooked meals, transportation, health screenings, special needs programming and curriculum aligned with New York state standards.
