GOUVERNEUR -- The Village of Gouverneur Department of Public Works will flush hydrants from 9 p.m. July 21 to 7:30 a.m. July 22.
They will do it again from 9 a.m. July 22 to 7:30 a.m. July 23.
Residents may notice a loss of water pressure and a slight discoloration of the water. While the water is safe to drink, the DPW encourages residents to hold off on doing white laundry.
The Town of Gouverneur will coordinate their hydrant flushing at the same time.
“Thank you for your cooperation and we are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause,” Gouverneur DPW said in a news release.
