GOUVERNEUR -- The Gouverneur Business Women Breast Cancer Walk Fund recently hit a milestone of having raised $750,000 since the group was formed in 2001, they announced April 13.
The group provides financial assistance to women recently diagnosed with breast cancer and helps during treatment and recovery.
The funds help new patients in St. Lawrence, Jefferson and Lewis counties their transportation and household costs, medical, car or mortgage payments and childcare expenses during their treatment.
