GOUVERNEUR -- Two brothers were each recently charged with felony assault following a fight that police say was over a video game at 41 William St.
Ronald L. Cyrus, 25, and Corey C. Cyrus, 19, were each charged with second-degree assault, respectively on March 7 and 8.
Ronald Cyrus is accused of striking his brother in the face with a metal rod.
Corey Cyrus is accused of striking his brother with a four-foot skateboard grinding pipe, causing “serious contusions,” police said.
They were each arraigned by Gouverneur Town Justice Travis Dann and remanded to the St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, in lieu of $500 bail or $1,000 bond, police said.
In an unrelated incident, Corey Cyrus on March 4 was charged with second-degree criminal contempt and unlawful possession of marijuana following what police say was a March 4 domestic incident call.
He allegedly went into a protected party’s residence knowing a court order required him to stay away.
He was arraigned by Gouverneur Town Justice Stan Young and released, police said.
