GOUVERNEUR – The Republican candidate for St. Lawrence County district attorney Mary Rain says she will announce today the endorsement of the St. Lawrence County Bureau of Fire Investigators in her run against incumbent Democrat DA Nicole Duvé.
Rain says she is especially pleased with the endorsement since she believes “There have been a stunning lack of arson prosecutions under my opponent’s watch, and I want the people of St. Lawrence County to know that the hard work of first responders in the field will be prosecuted fully and justice secured under the Rain administration.”
Rain said her certification as a New York State fire instructor and police instructor would give her added credibility.
Rain has scheduled a news conference at noon today at the Gouverneur Fire Department, 1035 US Rt. 11.
