Good chance of rain continues, hazardous weather outlook remains for St. Lawrence Valley

With high river and stream levels, saturated soils and more rain in the forecast, a hazardous weather outlook from the National Weather Service remains posted for the North Country.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms could occur this afternoon and evening with locally heavy rainfall possible, and that remains the story through Friday, mainly during afternoon and evening hours, according to the NWS.

Plenty of cloud cover will persist overnight trapping moisture in the low levels, making conditions right for some patchy fog tonight and tomorrow morning.
