PARISHVILLE -- The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) has closed Goldmine Road for construction of a new bridge over Dead Creek on the Goldmine Conservation Easement.
The public will not have motorized, or non-motorized, access past the construction site.
This includes the trailhead and trail that leads into the southern end of White Hill Wild Forest.
Members of the public that wish to access Lilly Pad Pond and Long Pond can continue to by foot from the north (Clear Pond trailhead).
DEC officials expect the bridge replacement to take about 30 days.
