MASSENA -- Senator Kirsten Gillibrand will make a stop in Massena on Thursday.
She will be at the Massena Community Center, 61 Beach St., at 10:45 a.m. to “announce new legislation to protect senior citizens from fraud,” according to her office.
"Her bill would standardize and improve the way senior financial abuse is reported, establish a national hotline that would advise seniors on where and how to report fraud, and provide more resources to combat financial exploitation of seniors before it happens," according to a prepared statement from the senator's office.
Gillibrand is a Democrat who has held the office since 2009.
