The current General Education Development(GED) test is expiring December 2013 and as of Jan. 1, 2014, New York State will no longer recognize the GED test as a means to achieving an equivalency diploma.

NYS will be transitioning to the Test Assessing Secondary Completion (TASC). Participants who have previously sat for the exam but were unsuccessful, scores will expire if completion of all five sections isn’t completed by Jan. 1.

St. Lawrence-Lewis BOCES Office will offer the GED exam. Visit www.sllboces.org/page/185 or call the SLL BOCES Office of Adult & Continuing Education at 1-888-360-7693 for a variety of GED test preparation options and information.
