CANTON — There was a gas leak in the Richard W. Miller Campus Center at SUNY Canton this morning.
“The problem was located and resolved,” according to Greg Kie, media relations at the college.
The Canton Fire Department aired out the building and it has been reopened, he said.
“We sent a similar message to the campus community using our RAVE alert system at 10:35 a.m. in addition to posting the information to the college's Facebook and Twitter accounts following correspondence from SUNY Canton University Police,” Kie said.
Coincidently, the college was scheduling a test of its alert procedures for later this week.
“We will be using today's message and its responses for training purposes,” he said.
