Republican voters selected candidates to run for town supervisor and town councilman in Morristown, town justice in Parishville and highway superintendent in Depeyster on Tuesday.
In Morristown, incumbent Frank L. Putnam has narrowly won the Republican primary for town supervisor.
He received 133 votes, compared to 115 by his challenger, Cyril H. Aldrich, Jr.
In the GOP race for a three-year town council term, current councilor David S. VanArnam easily beat Harvey H. Bender, 179-66, for the GOP line to fill an unexpired council member term.
In the Town of Parishville, incumbent Republican Lester Gale, Jr. has won the Republican primary for town justice.
He received 55 votes, compared with 28 by Douglas A. Emlin for the GOP ballot line for town justice in November.
In the Republican primary for superintendent of highways in Depeyster, Robert Chambers received 54 votes while Craig L. Collier got 14.
All of the winners will now be up for election in the Nov. 8 elections. The results are unofficial and do not include absentee ballots.
