CHIPPEWA BAY -- With the historic one-room schoolhouse in Chippewa Bay marking 155 years in 2016, a fund drive is underway to replace the eight original windows.
The Chippewa Bay Community Club is seeking donations to pay for the windows and repairs to the sills, which are badly needed to maintain the structural integrity of the building.
Donations of any amount may be sent to the Chippewa Bay Community Club, Inc., PO Box 116, Chippewa Bay, NY 13623.
The club was founded in in 1952 and strives to preserve the history of Chippewa Bay and promote the exchange of ideas.
