OGDENSBURG -- A fugitive sex offender from Wisconsin was arrested by St. Lawerence County Sheriff's deputies Wednesday.
Edward P. Monroe, 25, of Wisconsin was taken into custody after U.S. Marshall notified local law enforcement agencies that Monroe may have been living at 178A Bromagin Road.
Deputies found him at the same address and transported him to Oswegatchie Town Court.
He was ordered to be held at St. Lawrence County Correction facility without bail and will reappear in court at a later date.
Monroe was wanted by Wisconsin authorities after he allegedly failed to provide information as a sex offender.
