Top finishers listed as Frozen Foote series winds up in Canton; 160 runners, walkers participate

CANTON – The final Frozen Foote run of the season drew 160 runners and walkers, including many from over the border.

Race organizers reported ideal conditions for the fourth race this winter.

Jacob Malcomb was the overall winner in 21:11. He was followed by Jake Erdman in 22:16 and Dan Fritz in 22:26.

Canton Central School athlete Laura Pierce was the first female finisher, crossing the line in 23:53. That time makes her the fifth fastest female in the series' 35-year history.

Kristen Betrus and Steph Rogers finished second and third in 26:04 and 26:29, respectively.
