NORWOOD -- The Friends of the Norwood Public Library have started a bookmobile serving the residents of Baldwin Acres.
The library books arrive in the Community Room every two weeks on Saturday mornings, from 9 to 11 a.m., benefitting a segment of the community that is happy to take advantage of the service.
The residents can choose from the books that the volunteers bring, or request specific authors or titles. Audiobooks and DVDs are also available by request.
The bookmobile program has been running for a month and is steadily growing, according to the Friends.
They also run a bookstore within the library, where community members can purchase used books at bargain prices. The bookstore is open any time the library is open. All profits benefit the library.
