The Fresh Air Fund is looking for volunteer families in St. Lawrence County to host young girls and boys from NYC this summer.
Over the course of the last few years, the amount of host volunteer families has been dwindling. Boys and girls that have found host families will arrive Aug. 8 and return Aug.18. No special activities need to be done once thy arrive at your home, just being in the country environment, and playing outdoors in a yard is all they need to have a great time.
The Fresh air fund has been operating since 1877, allowing young inner city children the chance to spend some time during their summer break outside the confines of NYC, and experience what it is like to breath fresh air, swim in rivers, and play in yards.
