The Ashley family from Norwood, has hosted Amaya for two summers. Brittany Ashley first thought about becoming a host when her mother hosted a Fresh Air child. The Ashley family have allowed Amaya to experience many firsts; feeding a cow, fishing and swimming in a pond.
NORWOOD -- The Fresh Air fund seeks families interested in hosting children from New York City during the summer months.
Each summer, over 4,000 children visit volunteer host families in rural, suburban and small town communities across 13 states from Virginia to Maine and Canada.
