POTSDAM — Is your dog right for a dog park?
In preparation for the Potsdam Community Dog Park opening this year, Linda Caamano will present four upcoming classes for dog owners to help answer this question.
There will be video examples and advice on Dog Park etiquette, behavior, body language, and understanding and being an advocate for your dog.
Dog owners, or caretakers, are asked not to bring their dogs to the classes.
The trainings are scheduled for the following Wednesdays, Feb. 15, March 15, April 12 and May 10, from 7-8:30 p.m., at the town hall community room, 18 Elm St.
Entry is from the parking lot at the rear of the building.
The trainings are free and open to the public.
First time or experienced dog owners and prospective adopters all would benefit from this information as it will apply to dog ownership of any kind, say organizers.
