NORWOOD -- Norwood Public Library has started a lending collection of canning equipment, thanks to donations from Walmart and Merrill Trate.
The collection includes three pressure canners, two water bath canners, five sets of canning utensils, and five recipe guides.
Canning equipment can be borrowed for two weeks at a time with a North Country Library System library card. All items must be picked up and returned at Norwood Public Library.
The library has also joined the growing group of libraries that lend passes to the Adirondack Museum.
The pass can be borrowed for a week at a time.
It gives a 50 percent discount on museum entrance to a group of up to four adults, or two adults and as many children in the family under age 18.
This pass must be picked up and returned at the library. The Friends of the Norwood Public Library provided the museum pass.
