OGDENSBURG -- The Frederic Remington Art Museum has picked 42 works by 36 artists from the U.S. and Canada.
Local artists selected for the show include Rashmi Vaish, Susan Robinson, Thomas Robarge, Pamela Morley, Lorre Florin and Ravinder Agarwal, all of Ogdensburg and Paul N. Pedersen of Hermon.
The show will open with a May 17 public reception from 2 to 4 p.m.
There will be a best in show prize of $100, second prize of $75 and a third place prize of $50, also an honorable mention award.
At the end of the exhibition on September 29, a public’s choice award of a framed print of Remington’s 1908 oil painting "Pete's Shanty" will be announced.
Anyone can vote for their favorite artwork through September 21 at the museum or at www.fredericremington.org.
