The Franklin County Republican Committee has endorsed Elise Stefanik for the 21st New York Congressional District.
Congresswoman Stefanik, a Republican from Willsboro, attended the meeting Jan. 24, and fielded questions from Republican representatives and leaders from across the county.
At the end of the one-hour meeting, the committee was unanimous in their decision to endorse incumbent Stefanik.
County GOP Chairman Ray Scollin summarized the opinions voiced by the committee: “Elise is smart, dedicated to NY21, willing to reach across the aisle when collaboration benefits the district, and has been successful on issues important to Ft. Drum, our Veterans, northern border trade, agriculture, education, the environment and many other personal issues for our North Country residents.”
