GOUVERNEUR — Four people received emergency assistance from the American Red Cross Thursday following a fire on Dailey Road.
Gouverneur firefighters responded to the blaze at 2:28 p.m., according to their Facebook page and described the structure as a mobile home.
Red Cross aided three adults and a 16-year old with food and clothing and other necessities.
The fire was showing throughout the residence and nearly 20 firefighters battled the blaze.
Mutual aid was provided by Richville firefighters with Oxbow on standby for Gouverneur.
No details were given about the damage to the home.
n the coming days, Red Cross staff and volunteers will remain available to help those affected by the fire as they navigate the road to recovery.
