MASSENA -- Federal authorities raided three residences today and made four arrests for possessing and for conspiring to possess large amounts of heroin and crack cocaine.

Authorities said the arrests today are related to the drug arrests made there earlier this month.

Charged in a federal indictment with possession of heroin and crack cocaine with intent to distribute and conspiring to possess heroin and crack cocaine with intent to distribute are:

• Star Perrin, 33, of Massena

• Ian Hendricks, 19, of Massena

• Adam Gauthier, 25, of Massena

• Matthew Malu, AKA “Capo,” 25, Massena

Authorities executed search warrants at 48 Woodlawn Ave., Massena and 177 Center St., Massena, and 287 Cook Road, Norfolk, and seized an unspecified amount of cash and marijuana.

Massena Village Police Chief Timmy Currier said the arrests are connected to the dozen others made on Sept. 5.

“Further arrests are likely,” Currier said. “The investigation is continuing and ongoing.”

A news release from Massena police said the arrests came on the heels of a several month-long investigation into an organization that allegedly brought the drugs to the North Country from other areas and wholesaled them to local dealers and users.

Agencies involved included Homeland Security Investigations, Massena Village Police, St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office, New York State Police, St. Regis Mohawk Tribal Police, U.S. Customs and Border Protection Office of Air and Marine and Office of Field Operations, Drug Enforcement Administration, Potsdam Village Police, Royal Canadian Counted Police, Oneida Indian Nation Police, United States Border Patrol, New York Attorney General’s Office, and District Attorney’s offices of St. Lawrence, Franklin, and Clinton counties.
