MASSENA -- Village police say they charged four people stemming from offenses at Monday’s Labor Day parade and the public picnic in Springs Park afterward.
At the Springs Park picnic, police charged Trista M. Stevens, 34, of Main Street, Massena and Michael J. Bartlett, 40, of state Route 56, Massena each with disorderly conduct. Police said they became intoxicated and “would not follow through with lawful police orders asking them to leave.”
Also at the picnic, police picked up Cassondra L. Northrup, 35, of state Route 420, Winthrop on an outstanding bench warrant. Police said she was wanted by North Syracuse-based state police, and she was turned over to that agency.
Police also charged Devon J. Martin, 20, of Woodlawn Avenue on Tuesday for allegedly riding a bike down the sidewalk during the Monday parade “weaving in and out of pedestrian traffic,” police officials said, adding there were no injuries. For that, he was charged with a village code violation.
