OGDENSBURG -- Four people are jailed after the county Sheriff’s Office says deputies found them with about 1,000 packets of heroin on Tuesday.
Charged with one count each of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance are Samuel F. Westurn, 40, of Fort Covington; Nichole Westurn, 38, of Fort Covington; Caitlin Agaman, 19, of Jersey City, N.J. and Felix Cirino, 20, of Jersey City.
The sheriff’s office says they were charged following a traffic stop in Ogdensburg where a K9 unit allegedly found the drugs.
Agaman and Cirino were also charged with false personation. Deputies say they allegedly gave fake names when interviewed.
All four were arraigned in Morristown Town Court and remanded to the St. Lawrence County jail, Canton. Agaman, Cirino and Samuel Westurn were remanded in lieu of $15,000 bail or $30,000 bond. Nichole Westurn was remanded in lieu of $10,000 bail or $20,000 bond, deputies said.
There in an ongoing investigation with further charges pending, investigators said.
The sheriff’s office said other agencies involved include the St. Lawrence County Drug Task Force, Ogdensburg City Police Department and Homeland Security Investigations.
