Four charged after police search Ogdensburg home and discover enough methamphetimine waste to fill multiple 5-gallon drums

OGDENSBURG — Ogdensburg police said they arrested four city residents following a search of a home and removed enough methamphetamine waste material to fill multiple 5-gallon plastic drums on Oak Street on Thursday.

The arrests were the result of Thursday’s drug sweep that took place in St. Lawrence County. Members of the Ogdensburg Police Department, along with other area law enforcement agencies went to 114 Oak St. initially to arrest a known subject.

Upon arrival, police said they observed several individuals inside of the residence and observed in plain view, components commonly used to manufacture methamphetamine.

A search warrant was executed on the residence. The search of the residence revealed a quantity of narcotics, along with materials related to manufacturing methamphetamine.

In addition, removed from the residence, backyard, and a camper trailer on the property, was a large quantity of methamphetamine waste material, police said. The material filled two 55-gallon plastic drums.

Arrested were:

• Craig A. Stull, 38, 114 Oak St., was charged with third-degree unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine, felony, and was also charged on a New York State parole absconder warrant. He was held in city lockup awaiting arraignment.

• Alonzo J. Ellison, 30, 114 Oak St., was charged with second-degree unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine, felony, two counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, felony, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument. He was held in city lockup awaiting arraignment.

• Sierra R. Herbick, 29, 422 Belmont Courts, was charged on an Ogdensburg City Court Bench Warrant. She was transported to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility.

• Samantha N. Davis, 29, 345 Belmont Courts, was charged on a Ogdensburg City Court Bench Warrant. She was transported to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility on $750 bail.

The Ogdensburg Police Department Narcotics Enforcement Unit was assisted by the St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office, New York State Parole, U.S. Border Patrol, U.S. Border Patrol Vortex Team, New York State Police, New York State Police CCSERT, and Ogdensburg Fire Department.
