Timothy M. James, 39, is charged with third-degree grand larceny and third-degree criminal possession of stolen property, according to the St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office.

James allegedly stole hydraulic-driven generator from a Norwood Volunteer Fire Department firetruck and sold it to Wayne’s Gas and Service in the Town of Madrid in July, according to the sheriff’s office.

He was arraigned in Potsdam Town Court and released under probationary supervision, deputies said.

James in July was accused in a separate incident of stealing ladders from the Norwood Fire Dept. and selling them, charges which he denies. More details about that incident are at goo.gl/84X1kF.
