The wintry mix will taper off during the day today across St. Lawrence County, with most precipitation limited to the mountains by tonight, according to the National Weather Service.
A winter weather advisory ends at 7 a.m., however, rain, snow and sleet are likely to continue until 1 p.m., then there is a chance of drizzle between 1 and 5 p.m., then a chance of rain and snow after 5 p.m., NWS says.
The chance of precipitation is 60 percent. Minimal accumulation is expected.
The high today will be around 37. Overnight lows will be around 31 with a 30 percent chance of snow between 7 p.m. and 3 a.m. Little to no accumulation is expected.
A ridge of high pressure will slowly build into the North Country on Thursday and will remain over the region through this weekend. Highs Thursday will be near 37 with cloudy skies.
