A high-pressure system will move into the St. Lawrence Valley through Wednesday bringing clear skies, dry weather and seasonal temperatures to the North Country, according to the National Weather Service.

A cold front will push across the region by later Wednesday night into Thursday and bring possible widespread showers.

Temperatures will dip into the lower 50s overnight with light winds before warming up into the 70s with mostly sunny skies on Tuesday, the service says.

Highs in the 70s and light winds are predicted for Wednesday with lows around 60 Wednesday night, TWS says.

There is a 50 percent chance of rain Wednesday night and showers are likely on Thursday with highs anticipated to reach the lower 70s.
