As surface high pressure and a ridge aloft build into St. Lawrence County today, areas of morning drizzle should dissipate, with freezing fog possible overnight and tomorrow morning, according to the National Weather Service.
There is a chance of drizzle this morning, but it should taper off by noon, NWS says. Skies will be cloudy with highs near 37.
Patchy fog is expected between 8 and 10 p.m. tonight with freezing fog possible after 10 p.m. the service says. The overnight low will be around 30.
A developing low-level inversion will keep skies cloudy through Friday and into the weekend along with above normal temperatures. The high Friday could reach 40.
A storm system shifting out of the southeastern states Monday will bring the potential for a wintry mix Monday night, changing to all rain for Tuesday.
The forecast through the middle of next week is as follows:

A 30 percent chance of light snow after midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 31. Light and variable wind. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Saturday
A chance of rain and snow before 10am, then a chance of rain between 10am and 11am. Cloudy, with a high near 41. Southwest wind 3 to 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Cloudy, with a low around 33. Calm wind.
Sunday
Mostly cloudy, with a high near 41. Northeast wind 5 to 9 mph.
