Forecast: daytime flurries and seasonal temps today in St. Lawrence County; cold, dry weekend weather expected

A prevailing moist westerly flow from the Great Lakes will maintain mostly cloudy skies with periods of flurries and scattered snow showers today across St. Lawrence County, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

Skies will be mostly cloudy this morning before becoming partly sunny with highs in the lower 20s, NWS says. There is a 50 percent chance of snow showers.

Tonight will see a low around 1 with partly cloudy skies and winds around 10 mph, the service says.

The weekend begins with partly sunny skies becoming cloudy as the day unfolds with a 20 percent chance of snow showers in the afternoon. Highs will be in the mid 20s.

Saturday night will see an overnight low of 18 with cloudy skies and winds of 10 to 15 mph, NWS says.

Highs on Sunday will be in the lower 30s with a 50 percent chance of snow and winds of 10 to 15 mph and gusts as high as 25 mph, the service says.

Sunday night will see a 50 percent chance of snow and lows around 15 degrees.
