Up to six inches of snow is possible by the end of the day Tuesay in St. Lawrence County, according to the National Weather Service.

A weak trough of low pressure will move across the area today and bring snow showers to much of the county but not much accumulation is expected, the weather service says.

Highs today will be around 30 with winds of 10 miles per hour and gusts as high as 22 mph, forecasters say.

Tonight, lake effect snow from Lake Ontario will move across parts of the North Country with minor snow accumulations possible, NWS says. An overnight low of 17 is likely.

Relatively dry weather is expected on Monday with a high of 22 degrees before a low pressure system moves across the area Tuesday into Wednesday and brings widespread light to moderate snowfall to St. Lawrence County, the service says.

One to two inches of snow is possible on Monday night with another two to four inches possible on Tuesday, NWS says.
