Sunny skies during the day and clear skies at night are predicted for St. Lawrence County through Saturday with summer-like temperatures.

Daytime highs will be in the mid 80s, the National Weather Service predicts, with overnight lows from the mid 50s to low 60s.

Winds right through the period will be light to moderate from the south to southwest.

Things change Saturday night, the NWS says, as rain could move in, and could continue Sunday. The high temperature Sunday won't reach 70 degrees.

Skies are expected to clear off for the first part of next week.

The NWS forecast for the St. Lawrence Valley and the northwestern Adirondacks:

• Tonight: Clear, with a low around 54. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light south after midnight.

• Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 83. Light south wind becoming southwest 5 to 10 mph in the morning.

• Wednesday Night: Clear, with a low around 55. Calm wind becoming south 5 to 7 mph after midnight.

• Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 83. Southwest wind 8 to 11 mph.

• Thursday Night: Clear, with a low around 56. South wind 6 to 8 mph.

• Friday: Sunny, with a high near 84. South wind 6 to 9 mph.

• Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 62. South wind around 7 mph.

• Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 82. South wind 7 to 11 mph.

• Saturday Night: A 40 percent chance of showers after 9pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 55. South wind around 9 mph.

• Sunday: A 40 percent chance of showers before 9am. Partly sunny, with a high near 63. West wind around 8 mph.

• Sunday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 49. Northwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.
