St. Lawrence County forecast: sunny skies, warm temperatures through Friday, chance of rain Tuesday night
St. Lawrence County should see clear skies and summer temperatures through Friday, the National Weather Service predicts.
Canton and Potsdam will see the highest thermometer readings today, the NWS says, with the highs in those towns predicted at 84.Massena, Gouverneur and Canton could see temperatures as high as 86 with clear skies on Tuesday, meteorologists say.
Tuesday night may get a little wet. The NWS is calling for a 30 to 40 percent chance of showers throughout the county between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m.
Starting on Wednesday, clouds will come in and temperatures will drop into the high 70s, according to forecasters. Thermometers could go as high as 77 in Massena and Canton, and a few degrees cooler in the mountainous regions.
