Forecast calls for hot, clear week and weekend throughout St. Lawrence County

The National Weather Service is calling for a hot clear week with temperatures in the 80s throughout the area.

Tuesday night is expected to be mostly clear with temperatures in the low 50s giving way to a mostly clear and warm Wednesday with temperatures in the high 70s.

Wednesday night brings a 20 to 30 percent chance of showers in Canton, Gouverneur, Ogdensburg and Potsdam with temperatures in the high 50s.

Thursday is predicted to be mostly sunny and in the high 70s during the day and partly cloudy in the high 50s at night.

Friday and Saturday are forecast to be similar, with temperatures possibly getting up to 80 on Saturday.

Tuesday night - Mostly clear, with a low around 54. South wind 6 to 8 mph.

Wednesday - Sunny, with a high near 78. Southwest wind 5 to 7 mph.

Wednesday night - A 20 percent chance of showers after 11pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 59. Calm wind becoming south around 5 mph after midnight.

Thursday - Mostly sunny, with a high near 78. Southwest wind around 6 mph.

Thursday night - Partly cloudy, with a low around 59. Light and variable wind.

Friday - Sunny, with a high near 80. Light and variable wind.

Friday night - Mostly clear, with a low around 58. Calm wind.

Saturday - Sunny, with a high near 82. Light and variable wind.

Saturday night = Mostly clear, with a low around 60. Calm wind.

Sunday - Sunny, with a high near 81. Light southwest wind.

Sunday night - Partly cloudy, with a low around 60. Light south wind.
