PARISHVILLE -- The Parishville-Hopkinton Central School Jr. and Sr. National Honor Society recently sponsored a holiday food drive to benefit local families in the Parishville and Hopkinton areas.
Over 300 people received boxes of food or a plate of holiday treats.
Hundreds of food items were donated by students' families and monetary donations were received from the Parishville Ladies' Aid Society, Parishville Amber Lodge #395, Potsdam Elks Lodge #2074, Hopkinton NuMed Inc., Sons of Amvets-Post #265, Amvets Ladies' Post #265 and Connie and Evan Harper.
Baked goods were donated by the Parishville Ladies' Aid Society, Parishville Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, members of St. Michael's Altar Rosary Society and Amvets Ladies Auxiliary.
Volunteers included Matt Anable, Kay Bartlett, MIke Britton, Ann KH Burrows, Chris Caringi, Michael Caringi, Pat DeVine, Connie Harper, Evan Harper, Nick Jerome, Laurie Kalisz, Ted Kalisz, Marjorie Meashaw, JoAnn Miller, Heidi Simmons, Gloria St. Amour, Bob Wickwire, Lois Wickwire and Chris Woodcock.
The Parishville Ladies' Aid Society organized the event.
