Frost hit areas of St. Lawrence County Thursday morning -- including Lisbon, Winthrop, Stockholm, Hopkinton and Potsdam -- and the National Weather Service has the Star Lake under a frost advisory for early Friday morning.
Forecasters say the southwest reaches of St. Lawrence County in higher elevations will be looking at temperatures at the 32-degree mark from 2 to 8 a.m.
Elsewhere in the county, people can expect a mostly clear evening and early morning with temperatures sinking to around 35 degrees.
Friday should be mostly sunny with thermometers reading up to the high 50s, the NWS says.
Friday night is expected to be partly cloudy in most communities, with temperatures returning to the mid 30s and possibly getting as low as 31 around Star Lake.
Saturday should bring back skies and temperatures similar to the previous day, according to meteorologists.
The evening hours will be mostly cloudy with temperatures getting to around 40 degrees and several degrees cooler in the mountains, the NWS says.

Friday - Sunny, with a high near 56. Northeast wind 8 to 16 mph.

Saturday - Partly sunny, with a high near 56. Northeast wind 13 to 16 mph.
Saturday night - Mostly cloudy, with a low around 41. East wind 7 to 11 mph.
Sunday - Mostly cloudy, with a high near 59. Northeast wind around 8 mph.
Sunday night - Mostly cloudy, with a low around 46. East wind 5 to 8 mph.
Monday - Mostly cloudy, with a high near 61. Northeast wind 6 to 8 mph.
